Anyone with the role of admin user has full access to all features of Envio.
Association
An association is an organized group that shares common views for a common end. They work toward their mission by its members’ cooperative effort. Examples: United Fresh Produce Association and Produce Management Association (PMA)
Bill of Materials
For each box or carton of produce that is packed, certain non-produce components go into that product. Those components can be inventoried in ENVIO and can be decreased in the materials inventory as they are consumed during a packout.
Broker
A business intermediary that puts buyers and sellers together to facilitate a transaction. Brokerage companies are compensated by commission after the transaction has been completed.
Commodities
Agricultural Commodities are apples, onions, potatoes, berries, etc. Non-agricultural Commodities are wax, trays, box bottoms & tops, stickers, etc. You want ENVIO to know, account for, and manage all of the Commodities that go into the Products you sell.
Customer
A person or company who purchases inventory from your company. Examples: a food distribution warehouse, brokerage firm, or individuals who buy gift boxes.
Freight Broker
A person or company who is compensated for arranging the transportation of property or inventory by an authorized motor carrier. Examples: a company that arranges trucks to deliver your inventory to the next state but does not take possession of the inventory (freight forwarders take possession while in transit.)
Location
The different places at a Site, like the scale house, the Sales office, the loading dock, the packing shed, and the shipping office are locations of that Site. You will create Locations where different activities occur as a means of organizing the way the physical arrangement of your company is reflected in ENVIO . A Location is a hierarchical child of a Site, and is a sibling of Stations.
Location Type
Location Types are used to establish the hierarchical order of the Locations in your Company, such as a Warehouse or Shed. Additional Location Types can follow by the order of Location within a Location. For Example, a Slot is a Location of an Aisle, which is a Location of a Section, which is a Location of a Room, which is a Location of a Warehouse. You also may have Locations that are strictly a child of the Site, with no subsequent Locations, like a Scale House.
Purchase Order
A purchase order is used when inventory that is requested on a sales order is not in stock and must be purchased. Purchase Orders are usually used to buy Raw and Packed product and packing materials.
