Understanding Units of Measure

2017-04-27 21:18

All product lines (Sales Orders, Purchase Orders) have a QUOM (Quantity Unit of Measure) and a PUOM (Price Unit of Measure).  This allows you, for instance, to purchase product packed by the carton in hundred-weights or in pallet quantities.  Example: 22 Totes @ 25.00/CWT.

All Add-on lines (Sales Orders, Purchase Orders) require that the Quantity field and the Price field use the same UOM (unit of measure)

Example:  An Add-on freight charge for an order of 840 10/5 Balers may be calculated as 1 each @1680.00 each; or it may be calculated as 840 each @2.00 each.
